Economia moves from Karlín to Holešovice
Port7 has transformed a former brownfield site into a new hub of business and community life. It officially opened in September. It offers a total of 36,000 square metres of modern and sustainable office and retail space. In addition, it will provide a diverse mix of services, including shops, restaurants and a 24-hour fitness centre, a large public park and a new Vltava promenade (Náplavka 2.0).
"We were looking for a headquarters that was inspiring and easily accessible. We want to interact more directly with our subscribers through a range of events. We have them all over the country and of course we want to offer them a beautiful environment. It was the Port7 project that best met our ideas and requirements,"
says Lenka Černá, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Economia.
A premium location on the banks of the river
Located on the banks of the Vltava River, Port7 has become a magnet for companies with big names looking for a prime location with top-notch facilities. The multi-purpose complex attracts tenants with its unique combination of state-of-the-art office space, prime location and a newly developed 17,000 sqm park.
Tenants appreciate the many built-in sustainable solutions such as rainwater capture and reuse, efficient thermoregulation and an intelligent building monitoring system. These reduce energy consumption by 43% and potable water consumption by as much as 50% compared to conventional buildings of this size (according to LEED certification criteria).
"From our perspective, Port7 is much more than just a place to work, we are trying to create an environment that is all about sustainability and well-being. The fact that Economia has chosen Port7 as its new headquarters is further proof that prestigious companies share the same values that we do. We welcome Economia to Port7 and look forward to providing its editorial team with a new inspiring environment,"
says Jana Prokopová, Director of Leasing and Commercial Asset Management at Skanska's Commercial Development business unit in the Czech Republic.
