The biggest Czech commercial project by Skanska is officially open to both tenants and visitors. Port7 provides 36,000 sqm of prime office and retail spaces. Compared to typical buildings of its size, Port7 boasts over 43% reduction in energy consumption and a 50% decrease in potable water usage.
The office building in the very centre of Prague, Masaryčka, which bears the personal handwriting of the world-famous architect Zaha Hadid, has been duly approved. The new building, which was built by Penta Real Estate, is now being occupied by its first tenants.
One year after construction began, the rough construction of one of the future A1 office building in Prague's Rohan City project has been completed. Upon completion, the building will house the headquarters of Sekyra Group, the developer of the Rohan City project, among others. It is being built on a brownfield site on Rohanský island in Prague 8, which has been unused for many years.
REICO ČS Nemovitostní (RČSN) continues to clean up its real estate portfolio. It has recently sold the Rohan Business Centre building in Prague's Karlín district. The buyer is the newly established Fio real estate fund from the Fio investment company. The transaction price was CZK 740 million (€31.2 million).
A fund of the Generali insurance holding has sold a set of properties in the centre of Prague. The new owners of the individual houses are two companies, a manufacturer of sanitary equipment and a developer. All parties refused to comment on the transactions in detail, writes the online daily Seznamzpravy.cz.
On the border of Prague's Vinohrady, Žižkov and Strašnice districts, a new district will be created by the Czech development group Crestyl, which will connect the city with its green surroundings. The new project will offer not only office and residential space, but also a place for leisure and relaxation amidst the greenery. The project will include six office buildings and five residential buildings, with office space exceeding 80 000 sqm.
In recent years, the real estate business of Penta Investments has grown considerably. The company has invested almost CZK 50 billion in residential and office development projects and managed a portfolio worth more than CZK 27 billion at the end of last year. Brownfield between Milady Horákové and Koliště streets will soon be replaced by a new office building designed by a53 architects. After a complex acquisition process, the land was purchased from the Italian owners by Trikaya, a company specialising in the construction of residential and retail projects in Brno.
